On the beach this afternoon, hours before Noah’s first birthday party, the wind kicked up as a storm front began to roll across the lake. Rain started to drizzle and Noah, Grampa Popo, and I began playing on the beach in the big wind. Lots of laughter and squeels of joy ensued. The boy loves to fly!

This will probably be the last high flying act, at least until we can get some safety harness rigged up for him
Papa was making Mama nervous…despite the fact that he loved it. It was fun while it lasted though. We’ll have to find safer ways to fly in the future.
Or…maybe he won’t fly like this anymore. I’ve learned from this experience that there’s lots to learn as a papa…always. I do many things by myself that would probably make people around me worry if they saw me do them, things out in the wilderness. I have long had a tendency to be somewhat extreme in my activities, but now that Noah is here I have been much less extreme. Still, I can get lost in the fun of the moment sometimes with Noah and go a bit too far.
Bari pointed out to me last night that this tendency ran me into a tree when I was younger, during a training run on the ski team.
So, I won’t be putting Noah in any kind of danger that could hurt him. Lots to learn on the papa path…always.

Murph….(you know I will always call you that) I love your pictures and to be quite honest…when reading your stuff and looking at the pictures, I pretty much felt like I was in Michigan with all of you instead of at your Mom and Popo's watching the pups. Noah is so wonderful and a beautiful little boy. I wish My hubby and I could have one but Maddie will have to do as our child. I will continue to watch your little boy grow through your blog site and hopefully one day be able to meet him in person. Give Noah a big happy 1st birthday hug from me please….There is so much I'd like to say…but don't want to ramble…love the flying picture the bestest!!!! Please to Bari I said Hi too.
p.s. I have asked for and invite for you and Bari to be my friend on facebook. Would you guys be my friend on facebook?
best always,
Braberie
